Beginning My Journey in Psychology

Welcome to the greatest blog ever written, you’re going to want to stay with me to the end, because as James Taylor said, ” I’ve seen fire, and I’ve seen rain.” I beginning my college journey in a class called Psychology 2020 at Utah Valley University, and I want to take you with me, sharing all of my motivations and goals along the way.

I chose psychology because of my never ending drive to understand the world that I live in, and an unceasing passion to understand myself and others. The field of psychology has the potential to aid me in exploring how our thoughts and actions can be moved to change the world for the better.

My goal is to become a Political psychologist working for the United States Government, specifically analyzing the psychological profiles of voters assisting political candidates to get into a position to make peoples lives better. This role will allow me to understand and influence the leadership of the free world.

I am pushing toward both applied and political psychology, because I believe they will give me a greater understanding into how societal dynamics affect decision-making. Through this blog, I will document this learning journey, allowing me to reflect on each lesson taught to me, and experiences learned, while communicating with fellow psychology enthusiasts.

Thank you for being brave enough to join me on this adventure!
